Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Col. 3:1-3 NASB)

Fellowshipping with Jesus through the Holy Spirit
A Mind is a Terrible Thing Not to Renew!
When we invited Jesus into our lives, He came in through the Comforter, Holy Spirit. Jesus, before returning to heaven spoke of him to His disciples saying. "If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. " (John 14:15-18)
It was on the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Ghost arrived (Acts 2:1-4) So now, when we invite Jesus into our hearts, the Holy Spirit comes in (fulfilling what Jesus said to His disciples, "He shall be in you.) and seals us unto the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30) He is our connection with Jesus. He that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:17) Jesus speaks and reveals things of God through him to God's children. Think about this. Are you saved? If so, how do you know that you are saved? Who told you that you were saved? We know because the Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. (Romans 8:16) Since you have been saved, have you sinned? If so, how did you know it? Did you know that the Holy Spirit inside convicts us to repent? (John 16:8) Never try to over-ride his voice. But become sensitive to it. He is there to help guide us unto all truth. Learn to listen to his voice and be obedient. It is the voice of Christ through Him. For as many as are led by the Spirit are the Sons of God. (Romans 8:14) Additionally, did you know that God wants us to be filled with him? The scripture says, "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;" (Ephesians 5:18)
To be filled with the Spirit, do the same thing you did when you invited Jesus into your life. Confess any sins and tell Jesus that you want more of Him. Open up your heart and surrender to Jesus. Ask Him to baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire! Begin praising Him and by faith receive his filling. Praise God! Now worship Him, giving him thanks! The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, and temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23) You are now full of God's love! Praise God!!!
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away and all things have become new. (2 Cor. 5:17)
Praise God for the transformation of our hearts! Now it's time for us to begin renewing our minds. Rom 12:2... be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Prayerfully meditating and memorizing scripture is a good way to begin the process of renewing the mind. Personalize them with affirmations. Below are a few scriptures to ponder on.
For in that he himself (Jesus) hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor (help) them that are tempted. (Hebrews 2:18)
AFFIRMATION: Since Jesus suffered being tempted, if I let him, he can help me when I am tempted.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
AFFIRMATION: If I confess my sins, Jesus is faithful to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
.....For the joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) AFFIRMATION: The joy of the Lord is my strength.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:18) AFFIRMATION: With Christ's strength, I can do all things.
